As a recovering Catholic but went to grad school here, I like it! The only problem for me is if they won't let me get married at their alter. So for that reason and I no longer attend church there or at any Catholic Church. Other than that one small issue it's a great Church!

My husband and I decided to do a little "pilgrimage" of our own by experiencing Sunday Mass at other Catholic Churches in the area and nearby cities. It was the first time that my husband and I came to Sts. Simon and Jude Church for Sunday Mass. My husband and I felt so spiritually enriched by the vibrancy of the community. The homily was inspiring and the Eucharistic Celebration was made with such devotion and reverence. We love the ambiance and the faith-filled participation of the parish community. The Cantor had an amazing baritone that contributed to the monastery-like solemnity of the celebration. After the mass, most of the priests were there to greet the people, who we felt were also nourished by the same faith-filled that these sons of St. Francis have. We just love the experience. There is a great difference in the way Religious priests celebrate the Eucharist though, in essence it is the same mass that diocesan priests celebrate. I wonder why?
